Finally got the time to install the fantastic SyntaxHighlighter on my blog so I can post my code more easily.
I just followed the well done Blogger Syntax Highlighting guide from MLA Wire.
So I’ve added the following code in my Blogger site’s template, just before de </head> tag :
<link href='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/styles/shCore.css' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'/> <link href='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/styles/shThemeDefault.css' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'/> <script src='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/scripts/shCore.js' type='text/javascript'/> <!-- add brushes here --> <script src='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/scripts/shBrushCss.js' type='text/javascript'/> <script src='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/scripts/shBrushJScript.js' type='text/javascript'/> <script src='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/scripts/shBrushPhp.js' type='text/javascript'/> <script src='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/scripts/shBrushPlain.js' type='text/javascript'/> <script src='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/scripts/shBrushPowerShell.js' type='text/javascript'/> <script src='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/scripts/shBrushSql.js' type='text/javascript'/> <script src='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/scripts/shBrushVb.js' type='text/javascript'/> <script src='http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/current/scripts/shBrushXml.js' type='text/javascript'/> <script type='text/javascript'> SyntaxHighlighter.config.bloggerMode = true; SyntaxHighlighter.config.clipboardSwf = 'http://alexgorbatchev.com/pub/sh/2.1.364/scripts/clipboard.swf'; SyntaxHighlighter.all(); </script>
Well, not really, I have simply added the following tag in the header as a quick fix :
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7" />
When I will have some free time I will look why does my blog look so bad in IE8.
Now you can Digg my posts !
Check the little Digg it! icon on the bottom of each post (next to the labels) and vote for me.
For those of you interested, here's the code I have added to my blog template :
<!-- digg post link --> <span class='item-action' style='padding-left: 12px'> <a expr:href='"http://digg.com/submit?phase=2&url=" + data:post.url + "&title=" + data:post.title' target='_blank'> <img alt='Digg it!' border='0' height='16' src='http://digg.com/img/badges/16x16-digg-guy.gif' style='border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px' width='16'/> </a> </span>
Yes ! Look at the right sidebar, you will find my new Labal Cloud. Great isn't it ?
Many, many thanks to phydeaux3 who develop the New Blogger Tag Cloud / Label Cloud widget. Great Job.
You will also notice that I've added an 'Original content' Label to mark articles I wrote myself (everything else are grabbed from elsewhere).
Thanks to the new version of Windows Live Writer now I can use Blogger Labels when posting to my blog. You will notice the new Labels section on the right side.
Sometimes the the search box on the blogger navbar at the top of the page doesn't work well.
So tonight I added a new 'Search my blog' box on the left. Special thanks to Basang panaginip blog that explained how to do it.
